Hot Gurl Freak is an energy inclusive to all that wish to resonate with her. She is an archetype; a possibility model that I use as a guide to support me on my long dusty trail of personal liberation.

At the core of her ethos, the Hot Gurl Freak says yes to what she wants, and no to what she doesn’t.

While this may sound stupidly simple, I’ve both experienced and witnessed how much resistance there can be to pursuing one’s own desires. In the past, people pleasing and feelings of unworthiness have blocked me from chasing my whims with pure abandon. While the internal work of transcending people pleasing tendencies is an ongoing practice for me, I’ve made huge leaps over the past few years and my life has absolutely leveled the fuck up as a result. I use the archetype of Hot Gurl Freak to inspire my strong boundaries practice. As an empathic person, I used to believe other people were entitled to my energy. Boy, what a dangerous thought that was! Over the years I have learned that I have a right and an imperative to protect my energy and to be discerning with who I share it with. Now, I take my protection and boundaries very seriously.

I hope that these personal essays are, if not useful, entertaining, and if not entertaining, cautionary. I write to explore and celebrate personal power. I’m speaking from my small slice of this mysterious universe; spelunking thru the great cavern of life ;)

My intention is to be totally non-dogmatic. I am presenting 1 possible door in a quantum Scooby Doo mansion of infinite doors. Open the door, if you wish. Then, feel free to take what you want, and leave the rest. Make this work meaningful for you, iterate, morph, change, flip and reverse.
